It’s hard to believe that tomorrow night is the start of 2015! Weren’t we just (unnecessarily) blowing Y2K out of proportion?
Now that it’s time to ring in the new year once again, New Year’s parties are on everyone’s mind (whether you’re throwing one, attending one, looking for one, or trying to avoid one). If you’re in the “throwing one” category but are stuck for a great setup, we have two suggestions:
1. Add “stop procrastinating” to your resolutions list
2. Read this post
We’ve collected easy and beautiful ideas for fantastic last-minute New Year’s party themes. Check them out and get that party started!
Black, white and gold
Sophisticated, classy, and, most importantly, really easy to find, a black/white/gold theme will dress up your party without too much effort.
For a girly twist, add pink.
Champagne
This one may be the easiest of them all. You’re having Champagne anyway – why not theme your night around it? Pop open a couple of bottles of your favorite bubbly, place ice buckets and glasses in convenient locations, and your party’s done. (Add matching cupcakes if you’re really ambitions.)
Father Time
The whole purpose of New Year’s is to commemorate the passing of time and the new year approaching. Include some timey-wimey stuff (Whovians, this one’s for you) to celebrate the essence of the day.
Ball Drop
It’s the night’s biggest moment – celebrate it for the entire party with a ball drop theme. Make sure to include everything that happens when the ball drops: noisemakers, confetti, overall chaos. Colorful, simple, and perfect for all ages.
Happy New Year’s to all of you! How are you celebrating?
