Dress Your Home in Fall 2015 Colors

The weather is cooling as the last days of summer slip away, and everyone knows what that means: time to break out the fall colors! Pantone, color experts extraordinaire, released their annual Fall Fashion Color Report, featuring an unexpected yet seasonally appropriate list of the hot fall 2015 colors.

The unisex shades are usable in virtually any room, including lots of “earthy neutrals” balanced with strong hues. Several of the colors’ names reflect on this time of year – Stormy Weather (a cool blue-gray), Dried Herb (an elevated olive green), Cashmere Rose (soft, luxurious pink), Marsala (a winey red-brown, and the 2015 Color of the Year), Oak Buff (a mellow golden-yellow), and Reflecting Pond (cool and serious blue).

Other shades carry a promise of spring and sunshine in brighter colors while still capturing the bright landscape of changing leaves and cool weather: Cadmium Orange (warm and striking), Biscay Bay (an elegant, subdued teal), and Amethyst Orchid (vibrant purple).

It’s a sophisticated, soothing palette. not what you’d think of as traditional fall colors, but they give off an autumn vibe – one can practically hear the leaves crackling underfoot.
