Vanities, tubs, tiles, mirrors and flooring- these homeowners did a great job of remodeling their outdated, shabby bathrooms. Using the elements of light, color and modern amenities their previously embarrassing bathrooms are now their favorite rooms!
This bathroom is drab, antiquated and really belongs in an old couples home. This is definitely not the bathroom for the home of the adorable blogging and DIY remodeling couple Sherry and John Petersik (www.younghouselove.com).
Sherry & John removed the nasty carpet and gutted the entire room. They painted the walls a soft taupey-green and used marble tiles for the floor, which they purchased on clearance at Lowe’s. A dark wood mirror and matching vanity effectively pick up the rich mocha tile color. The DIY wall art, inspired from their time spent in NYC, adds a personal feeling to the room.

This tiny bathroom is dilapidated, gray and peeling. Last done in 1928 it’s desperately needs an emergency face-lift.
The home owners achieved a bright, fresh look with white beaded board and floor to ceiling classic white tile. The white limestone vanity and porcelain toilet and tub are sleek and clean. Fun green accents give the room a cheerful, pretty finish so their children can start their mornings on an upbeat note.

This guest bathroom is neat and clean but very boring. The home owners, a classy middle aged couple, wanted something that reflected their sophisticated, suave style and accommodated their guests nicely.
An over-sized mirror and floor to ceiling tile gives the illusion of space in this small 5’ X 8’ space. The modern amenities and chic glass tiles give the bathroom a contemporary spa-like feel.
