“Your project is not about the architect, builder, or the designer’s vision…it’s about YOUR vision”…Wouldn’t it be a dream come true to work with a contractor who lived by these words? Sadly it doesn’t happen often but occasionally you will hit the jackpot. We did when we discovered Wild Development, LLC.
Unlike most designers, contractors and companies in the home building industry Wild Development actually encourages you to thoroughly research their company’s reputation, past projects and service before hiring them. That’s how confident they are in their company. Why? Because Wild Development is not about themselves, they are all about their client’s, striving to make their home building project as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
Before beginning with any new client Mary Wild, the owner and President of the company, helps them visualize what the end result will look like through photos, sketches and finished materials. She sits down with each client and discuses in-depth what they need to get out of the redevelopment. Mary understands their budget, what they want to change in their home, what works for them and what doesn’t. This considerate procedure eliminates plenty of concerns and stress usually associated with remodeling projects and ensures that the end result will be exactly what the client envisioned.
Wild Development also assists a majority of their clients with the design and décor aspects of their home. When I asked Mary what her companies design style was she explained how she takes cues from her client’s homes and lifestyles to create a home that is unique to each client. Many clients are not sure what style they prefer exactly but Mary helps them figure it out through pictures, design shows and examples of what talks to them. Wild Developments wants their clients to be happy with their homes long term so they try to understand how they live, which areas is the house will become the hub and how the house is used.
Since Mary herself is a mom she understands how important it is for families with children to have a place to do homework, a mission control area etc. If her client hosts a lot she will make sure there is a gathering room, a closed storage space to store extra trays and dishes and maybe a bar. At Wild Development each client is dealt with exclusively to make sure their unique needs are met to best accommodate their lifestyle.
Despite Mary’s protest that she doesn’t have any unique style I did notice some common threads in all her work. She is original, neat and all the houses she has created have a strong sense of home and warmth.
