I don’t know about you, but when I think of a chandelier, I automatically conjure up an image of a crystal-laden, traditional, ornate fixture with fake candles, much like this one:

So I was delighted to discover that chandeliers can be current, too! As lovely as traditional chandeliers are, they wouldn’t fit in my humble home (and I shudder thinking about cleaning them). I still want “statement” lighting – but with an updated, contemporary look.

These are some of my favorite modern chandeliers (I had such a hard time narrowing it down, so even though there are a lot, trust me – I love each and every one of them!).
