Pretty in Pastels

Believe it or not, bold colors and strong neutrals are making way for their softer counterparts. Pastels are back in – on clothing and on walls alike.

Now if you’re really daring, consider a pastel kitchen. Softly tinted cabinets are popping up in every style and shade, and even candy-colored appliances are making a comeback. (Are they our generation’s avocado and harvest gold? Probably, but they’re so pretty!)

It doesn’t have to be retro, but be warned: it can be difficult – though not impossible – to pull off modern pastels.
