Are Colored Toilets Making a Comeback?

Colored sinks are wildly popular. Colored tubs are on the upswing. Why are our toilets not colorful?

Of course there’s almond, bone, and biscuit… but those are not really colors. Where are all the colored toilets?

We’re beginning to venture into truly colorful territory, from a “basic” black:

For a more toned-down statement, white toilets with black lids are coming into vogue.

[See? It matches the tub. I think we’re onto something here.]

In keeping with color trends, go for gray (or gray and white – who knew you could get a toilet with different colors on the tank and the seat?)…

… or gray’s shinier cousin, stainless steel.

Scarabeo’s toilets are available in a dazzling array of colors including green, orange, and even gold:

While the Toto Waza Miyabi collection is not quite as dramatic as the bright Scarabeos, the designs are subtly beautiful.

It all comes down to this question: Are we heading down a slippery slope to THIS?

I sure hope not.

  1. I absolutely LOVE the classic colours… yes, the pinks blues and yellows. The only problem I have with it – is the manufacturer’s decision to stop making them.
