Willy Wonka’s Dream Bathroom

Ever wonder what Willy Wonka’s bathroom looks like? After all, everything else in his “world of pure imagination” is edible (and scrumdiddlyumptious-looking) – are his private living quarters edible too?

Bathrooms.com, a UK-based company, has provided us with the answer. After realizing that many bad spellers were frustrated by abysmal results from the Google search “bathroom sweets” (for the bad spellers reading this – it’s “suites”), they teamed up with chocolatier Choccywoccydoodah to give the bad spellers a good laugh. (Fun fact: Choccywoccydoodah, appropriately, created many of the confections that appear in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.)

Behold the results of their collaboration:

It’s a sweet bathroom suite.

That’s right – a tub, toilet, bidet, and pedestal sink, all made out of pure Belgian chocolate.

Each piece is an exact life-sized replica of products from Bathrooms.com‘s popular Maderno suite.

It’s perfect for the real chocolate lover who doesn’t have anything better to do with his or her money and would like to consume enough chocolate to cause an instant heart attack. The entire sweet suite costs £80,000 (approximately $133,000) and contains 9.4 million calories (over 12.5 years worth of calories for someone on a 2,000 daily calorie diet).

Of course, there are more affordable options. You can buy each piece separately if you can’t justify the whole price tag.

Basin: £9,000 (about $15,000) and 210,000 calories

Tub: £50,000 (about $83,000) and 8 million calories

Bidet: £7,000 (about $12,000) and 210,000 calories

Toilet: £14,000 (about $23,000) and 980,000 calories

The “sweet” must be ordered several weeks in advance as each is custom-made to order. It’s designed to last for six months. (Obviously you’ll need to host a bathroom-eating party if you don’t want to die of diabetic shock in those six months.)

And for the idiots among those who want to purchase one, the site issues a warning that the suite is not to be used for actual bathing as it will melt. (No mention of what an unsuspecting visitor may do when faced with a chocolate toilet.)

Love chocolate loos but don’t have the money to shell out for an edible one? Here are some more easily attainable examples of rich, chocolately, and actually practical bathrooms for those of us saner (and poorer) folks.
