Glam It Up: Gold Kitchens

While nickel and stainless steel are still popular, gold finishes are edging their way into kitchens of all styles. It complements rustic and traditional kitchens, warms up stark, modern kitchens, and brightens virtually every color palette in the way that only gold can.

You can incorporate gold into your kitchen in dozens of different ways, from the main fixtures (lighting, faucets, sinks, even appliances and backsplashes) to the small touches (hardware and accessories).

The most important rule for decorating with gold: don’t overdo it! Too much of a good thing is, well, a bad thing. Case(s) in point:

So tone it down, glam it up, and enjoy those gold-toned touches. All that glitters really is gold (toned) in these glitzy, glamorous gold kitchens.

Too bright? Try brushed gold or even rose gold for the golden glow and glamour without the risk of brassiness.

  1. Can I go with gold cabinet hardware if my inset cabinets have polished nickel hinges which are exposed? I know mixing metals is acceptable but not sure if this is a good look? Would sure appreciate any advice!! Thanks!
