Color of the Month: Decorating with Peacock

When’s the last time you saw a peacock?

Male peacocks’ plumage is designed to attract attention. With those gorgeous shades of teal, aquamarine, and turquoise, mixed with truer blues, greens, and even yellows, peacock feathers are destined to dazzle.

We can all use a bit of cheer on these cold and gray February days (if it’s the shortest month, why does it feel so long?). So, accordingly, we present this month’s Color: peacock blue.

It’s dramatic, saturated, and bold jewel tone, making it a perfect accent color for use in smaller doses. Because it’s essentially blue, this multidimensional shade coordinates well with virtually every color, including neutrals, pastels, and even other brights. Throw in a peacock motif and it’s even more fun!

These perfect peacock rooms will get you energized to face the rest of the winter.
